My Story
At Pathfinder Pipes, I specialize in the manufacturing of unique artisan tobacco pipes. My journey into the world of pipe manufacturing began when I discovered a few of my grandfather's old pipes. After restoring my grandfather's estate pipes, I was inspired to craft my own. What initially started as a fun leisure activity has transformed into an exciting adventure.
The name Pathfinder Pipes reflects my experiences serving as a soldier in the Army. The insignia includes the unit I served in. Pathfinders originated during World War II, where they would parachute ahead of the main airborne assault to set up the drop zone, ensuring troops landed in the right place at the right time. In the 1980s, this unit evolved to focus more on reconnaissance, becoming a Long-Range Surveillance Detachment (LRSD), conducting surveillance missions beyond traditional scout platoons. Eventually, this unit returned to its Pathfinder roots, retaining some characteristics of the LRSD, which I was proud to serve in for most of my time. This unit was ultimately decommissioned in 2017 as part of the Army's restructuring efforts. During my service, I had the honor of working alongside some of the finest individuals I have ever met.
